How to create Google Sitemap and Yahoo! Sitemap
SitemapSebelum submit sitemap ke Google and Yahoo!, buat dahulu satu halaman sitemap dari situsmu dengan format .xml.
aku biasa gunakan free source sitemap generator seperti xml-sitemap yang menghasilkan sitemap berupa text untuk Yahoo! dan sitemap format .xml untuk Google. Jika situsmu nggak lebih dari 500 halaman, software ini bisa digunakan, jika lebih mungkin kamu harus menggunakan yang Paid version
atau download sitemap generator dari Sourceforge
(untuk ini ada yang Paid dan ada yang free).
Setelah klik “start” button di xml-sitemap.com, beberapa saat akan muncul hasilnya berupa jumlah halaman, broken links (jika ada), xml file content dan link ke file compressed sitemap, download files tersebut dan tempatkan di server web mu (public_html/).
Setelah itu, buka Google Sitemaps dan ikuti langkah-langkahnya. yang dimasukkan adalah url dimana ada file dengan format .xml hasil download dari xml-sitemap.com tadi.
Sedangkan untuk Yahoo! sitemaps, masukkan url file yang berbentuk Text (namakan dengan urllist.txt) di kolom “Submit Site Feed”.
Biasanya Yahoo! lebih lambat meng-index web baru, tapi dengan submit sitemaps seperti ini akan mempercepat spider Yahoo! mengunjungi situsmu.
