WordCamp Indonesia Day 1

speechless… I saw Matt, this is him, the man I want to see for over 2 years blogging with WordPress 

Dapet goody bag isi kaos, pin, sticker, majalah Marketing pas registrasi trus setelah pembukaan yang telat hampir 1.5 jam dari jadwal (abis masuk ke ruangan aja jam 9) oleh mas Valent dan Matt, ada materi tentang web 2.0 ‘Digital Life, Digital Influence’ dari mas Nanda Ivens dari Indopacific Edelman .. (bukan, dia bukan Cyber Pacific )

Kenapa ya narasumbernya banyak yang ga bisa dateng, seperti mas Romi Satria Wahono yang harusnya membawa kan materi “Education using WordPress” di awal sesi bahkan presenternya aja ngga bisa dateng. Tapi untung deh Matt bisa lama kasih materinya abis makan siang, tentang WordPress as CMS dari awal sampe yang Coltrane ini plus tanya jawab yang menarik dari peserta.

He’s very humble ..

Waduh, udah mau ada lagi WP versi 2.8 katanya, kemungkinan bulan Maret wah bakal mundur lagi nih capturing buat buku hehee (alesaaaan .. )

oya, sekarang ada WordPress.tv yang memuat tentang tutorial dan tips WordPress (WordPress.org dan WordPress.com) serta event-event WordCamp, jadi ngga terpisah lagi

Coffee break 2 kali (thank God) dan lunch makanannya enak, sayang lagi sakit gigi jadi ga gitu nikmatin, kecuali kopinya ..

Setelah open Forum bareng mas Agus Setiawan Basuni dan Ndorokakung, acara hari pertama abis pas jam 5. Oya, aku dapet CD lagu-lagu jazz dari Wartajazz.com .. thanks to mas Agus dan mas Valent .

Things I want To Do in 2009

Definite Goals are :

• Book.. book.. oh where’s the draft anyway ..
• Continue on WordPress Workshop for everyone who need to know
• Fix the relationship with friends (mostly broken because financial matter, thought )
• buy this house (I love it and hope the owner will sale it cheaper for me)
• buy a used car before rainy season (again)
• fitness, swimming at least 1 a week and jogging every morning with Cora (she’s my female GSD)
• Kick this 5 Kgs over weight
• No more negative thinking

Things I’d like to consider are :

• Sell own products online
• Continue on English conversation learning and so my daughter, my English  getting worst day by day
• more pets ) maybe fish, I love to see  Blackghost’s fish dance
• gardening (?)

Things I’m Grateful For …

Membulak-balik arsip lama, eh nemu PR dari Nyssa .. udah dari bulan September :doh: , maaf kan nenek pikun ini ya cucu nyssa … )

Dari pada berfokus kepada yang tidak aku suka, nanti semakin tidak suka soalnya hehe .., baiknya aku tuliskan apa-apa yang membuat aku suka dan merasa di berkati .. bisa jadi daftar yang panjaaaaaaanggg sekali, untung Nyssa membatasinya hanya 10 aja ..

Okay, Since yesterday, today and tomorrow I’m grateful for …

1. Di pilih menjadi ibunya Kenia .. aku percaya akan “bahwa kita ini di pilih menjadi orang tua dari suatu embrio yang bakal lahir di dunia, bukan kita yang menentukan siapa bayi kita“.

2. Biar dibilang salah jurusan, aku bersyukur berada di ‘ruang’ku sekarang ini … hard to explain, but you can feel it too when you are “me”

3. Memiliki teman-teman, di masa lalu maupun saat ini, yang banyak juga membentuk kepribadian aku .. ga bisa di sebut satu-satu, banyak sekali, semua special .. thanks for all

4. Sudah memberikan cucu kepada Papa-ku, sebelum beliau wafat …

5. Suka sama hewan … someone must thinking & helping them

6. My intuition which is I see it more like  “ability to sense or know immediately without reasoning” –> ga usah di bahas deh, gelap !

7. I like my name , specially the first one.

8. I like rainy day … biarpun kadang jadi khawatir mati lampu kalo lagi ujan hehee .. you know, mati lampu = ngga bisa komputeran.

9. I like Lavender & Rose Fragrance .. tapi kalo mau beliin parfume, yang White Musk-nya Body Shop aja yaaaaa )

10. I am getting better and better every day, in every way

Justin Tadlock’s Showcase

Ow .. what a surprise, Quite a lot of visitors came to my blog since yesterday from Themehybrid.com, wondering what’s going on.. then I visited the referrer url and see that my site has been added as a new showcase at Themehybrid.com, thank you Justin ..

For those who didn’t know yet what Showcase at Themehybrid.com is, Justin as the themes author, is displaying the modified themes to show up what the mess users did to those themes he had created )  … joke !

You might not fully understand what’s my blog content’s all about because mostly are in Bahasa, but thank you for visiting anyway ..

Well.. I love Structure Theme since it was born and fyi, I am still using its first version, because atau I like the three sidebars homepage appearance , though I haven’t seen this feature in new version (am I right ? ) and now still struggling to figure out how I can manage the single post and other pages sidebar that shows different widgets because the 1st version didn’t have it.

I’m too lazy doing upgrade with the latest version because I make a lot css modification here ) and I’m not quite expert to start it again … maybe I have to do so as Justin already developed it with Child Themes.

I love Options Themes too, and already installed it on my other blogs..

Yahoo! Rape Me

Biar gimana pun, ngga rela aja kalau bayar perpanjangan domain semahal $34, apalagi ditambah domain tidak belum menghasilkan itu sudah aku transfer duluan ke GoDaddy dengan harga $7-an

Ceritanya karena aku ngga meng-cancel account Smallbusiness di Yahoo! .. lupa ding, kelewatan karena proses transfer di GoDaddy cukup lama … jadi Yahoo! dengan sukaria men-charge $34 untuk tahun kedua ini .. wondering, apa mereka ngga punya data bahwa domain yang di renew itu sudah pindah registrant ? atau ini buat mereka balik modal karena domain di tahun pertama harganya cuma $1.99 )

this is what they saying :

Maya, in order to address your concern, I have checked our records and
verified that you have transferred your domain name to GoDaddy
successfully. However, the subscription of Yahoo! Domains is still
active at Yahoo! end for the domain.

I would like to inform you that transferring your domain to another
registrar does not cancel your domain from your old company
automatically. Because of this, your account was charged. I recommend
you to cancel your account manually to avoid future auto-billing.

Jadi, ngga seperti tempat-tempat lain, begitu di transfer berarti di registrant lama udah ke hapus, di Yahoo! mah engga, kita harus cancel manual juga sehabis proses transfer selesai, berharap orang lupa kali yaa

Terus tentang permintaan refund itu :

hmm, harus nelpon ke sana ya .. kira-kira pulsanya lebih dari $34 ga yah hehee ..

Bagi yang suka beli domain di Yahoo! domain, apalagi yang program domain murah dulu (eh sekarang masih ding..) .. apalagi yang belinya banyak (aku engga loh ..  :-$  ) jangan lupa lihat tanggal expire-nya di who.is, jangan terlalu mepet karena Yahoo! men-charge kartu kredit kira-kira 3 minggu sebelum tanggal pembelian dulu atau sebelum expire tercantum.

Login ke Smallbusiness dan masukkan data email pas beli domain, kemudian temukan link Cancel Plan seperti ini.

Ikuti proses Cancelation sampe ada button “Finish” untuk di klik. Jika mau di transfer sebaiknya jangan dulu lakukan Cancelation, kalau ada apa-apa, gagal transfer etc. bisa ambil Authorized Code lagi di dalam domain managernya dan retry proses transfer.

Untuk pembelian domain baru baru ini di Yahoo! sudah lebih enak karena pakai Paypal, kayaknya kalau ada kasus seperti daku ini bisa cepat proses refundnya ya tinggal ke Resolution Center dan ngga lama ketauannya karena Paypal bakal langsung kasih alert ada tarikan biaya.
